First post in a brand new blog

This will be my international blog, covering my adventures on German soil, starting in March 2010. I plan to write it in English, for several reasons:

I have friends here and there around the world, who don't read Swedish, and I would like to be able to write a blog which also welcomes them as readers.

I would also like to be as fluent in English as I once was, namely back in 2002, when I first started blogging - which I happened to do in English.

And last but not least, it's a networking thing. I am after all moving abroad to a city I've never set foot in, and where I know nobody... I've made friends through blogging before, who knows what social doors this might open up? (And besides, my German skills are nowhere near blogging-capability, so that option is out of the question...!)

I'm not sure how often I will update this thing, or what stuff will go here and what will be posted in my usual, Swedish blog - but I guess I will figure that out as I go along.
